WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY ABOUT US
”The guidance and strength passed over from Frontline staff in the Connections Programme has shaped me into the person I stand as now. Now I'm a graduate of the programme and for the first time in years I can say I'm proud of me. I’m so thankful for the tools and awareness it has provided me with.

”Considering we are in prison, the right approach was taken, e.g. no trauma, no confrontation, and the stuff we did learn will be so vital to us all.

”Frontline has had a very positive impact in my recovery - it more or less saved my life. All I knew was to use drugs to deal with my problems. Now I know there's help out there... and a better life ahead of me.

”I was nervous and not fully committed at the start of the 12 week programme, but after week one this all changed - I started to think different and act different. There began to be a change in me, both physically and mentally. I got so much of my life back.

”This programme has helped me a lot through everything that came my way, now I am motivated to go to a relapse prevention group in Kavanagh House and then move on to something else with the support I got. I would like to thank all the staff for the support I was given throughout the group.

”This group opened my mind to what tablets I was taking and the long term effect of them. It helped to identify my triggers and risks. I could relate to the stories of the other members of the group and this helped me to make changes. A certain individual was going through withdrawal symptoms. This gave me a good understanding of the importance of detoxing with a GP not on your own. I also saw the positive effects on people in the group who had made changes and this was a big motivation for me. The group worked very hard and everybody managed to make some positive change be it big or small.

”I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for Frontline. It's the best addiction service I've used (and I've used a lot of them). You're not judged coming in the door and whoever you talk to will always listen and do what they can to help.

”My headspace was a bit all over the place. I had some confusion and anxiety of the unknown, but as the weeks went by, I settled in and enjoyed the group chats. I felt I could open up within the group. I enjoyed the Art Therapy and the Monday and Friday check ins.

”All my life I have been in addiction of some sort, my life was all over the place. I found out about this course and decided to join, my first few weeks I felt like it was not for me and I almost gave up, but I was giving encouragement to keep on going. As the weeks progressed, I became a lot calmer, my addiction was not winning anymore, and I made it to the end. I would like to say I am completely addiction free but I am not all together there yet, but I now know that sitting around getting wasted is not the answer but for the first time in my life I can see a future and it is all down to the steps I have taken and the supports I got.

”Before I came to the group, I was on the verge to going back drinking and using, I was on a low and had stopped looking after myself. A good friend of mine told me about this course and it is the best thing I had done in years; I feel better and I don’t want to pick up a drink today. I know I can do this and if I feel down, I know I have a good support network, good keyworker and have made good friends. I would do this all again in a heartbeat, thanks to the support of the group.

”The Children's Project has been such a huge part of my daughter's life and she has loved every day she has spent there and all the memories she has made. I myself would have been lost without you.

”After developing a passion for bikes and visiting the shop in Inchicore, I was told about the Bluebell training centre. Before I joined the training course I struggled to get work because of addiction issues and a criminal history. I'm now 5 years sober and the course has given me stability, structure and the knowledge that I want to be a qualified bike mechanic - it's the best thing I ever did.
