Connections Programme
Congratulations to Frontline’s clients who have just successfully completed the Connections Programme. This 12-week stabilisation programme is aimed at adults who are in recovery from substance misuse and the participants who are selected for the programme have been recognised as being motivated to make change in their lives. This change may be through further education, training, employment, or treatment.
About the programme
The Connections Programme aims to promote self-esteem and self-confidence, as well as provide information and education on substance use. It also provides an opportunity for participants to reintroduce structure and routine into their lives, with a commitment to attend 4 sessions each week for 12 weeks.
The four key areas of development in the programme are: Stabilisation, Health – Personal & Mental, Personal Development and Progression and Choices.
6 clients successfully completed the programme, which uses a group work approach combined with evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioural worksheets, motivational interviewing techniques and psycho-educational topics, as well as art therapy and one-to-one support.
What our clients say about the programme
Participants of the programme shared their experience with us:
“Frontline has had a very positive impact in my recovery – it more or less saved my life. All I knew was to use drugs to deal with my problems. Now I know there’s help out there… and a better life ahead of me.”
”I was nervous and not fully committed at the start of the 12 week programme, but after week one this all changed – I started to think different and act different. There began to be a change in me, both physically and mentally. I got so much of my life back.”
“This was the best programme I have ever been a part of. The difference to me was about how much each facilitator put into each session. From the start I was made to feel so welcome, and the atmosphere was so warm. I learned a lot during my twelve weeks there – I’ve come so far with the help of Frontline.”
